Even a standard Singapore HDB master bedroom, at around 12 to 15 square metres, has to fit a bed, a wardrobe, and usually a side table or two. In a room smaller than 10 square metres, every one of those choices gets tighter. Start with the bed and place it against the longest wall, since it naturally becomes the anchor of the room. Leave at least 60cm clear on each side you actually walk around.
