Privacy Policy

Nova Furnishing Pte Ltd (“Nova Furnishing”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA”) and the guidelines issued by the Personal Data Protection Commission (“PDPC”).

Last updated: 9 July 2026

1. Scope of this Policy

Nova Furnishing operates four showrooms in Singapore and this website (https://www.novafurnishing.com), which is an informational, Price-On-Asking (POA) catalogue. We do not process online payments or run a checkout on this website — all sales are concluded in person at our showrooms or by arrangement with a member of our team over WhatsApp, phone or email. This Policy explains what personal data we collect through the website, WhatsApp, email and in our showrooms, and how we collect, use, disclose and protect it, in accordance with the PDPA.

By visiting this website, sending us an enquiry, or visiting one of our showrooms, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

2. Personal Data We Collect

We only collect personal data that is reasonably necessary for the purposes set out below. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

  • Contact details — name, phone number, email address, and delivery address, where you provide these to us via WhatsApp, our contact email, or an in-showroom enquiry or order form.
  • Order and enquiry details — the products you are interested in, showroom visited, and correspondence relating to a quotation, order, delivery, servicing or warranty claim.
  • Communications — records of messages you send us by WhatsApp, email or through our showroom staff, including any photos or videos you share for a servicing or warranty claim.
  • Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers and pages visited, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you use this website (see Section 6).

We do not operate an online checkout, so we do not collect or store payment card details through this website. Where a transaction is completed in a showroom, any payment is handled directly by our staff or a third-party payment terminal provider, and is not stored by us.

3. Purposes of Collection, Use and Disclosure

We collect, use and disclose your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Responding to your enquiries and providing quotations (Price On Asking);
  • Processing orders, arranging delivery, installation and after-sales servicing;
  • Administering warranty claims and returns (see our Warranty Policy and Refund & Return Policy);
  • Sending you order updates, appointment confirmations, or service notifications;
  • With your consent, sending you marketing messages about promotions, new arrivals or events;
  • Improving our website, showroom services and product range;
  • Preventing fraud and protecting the security of our business and customers; and
  • Complying with our legal and regulatory obligations.

Except where permitted or required by law, we will obtain your consent before collecting, using or disclosing your personal data. Consent may be given expressly (for example, when you submit an enquiry or ask us to contact you) or may reasonably be deemed from your conduct (for example, when you voluntarily provide your details to complete a purchase or a servicing request).

You may withdraw your consent to our collection, use or disclosure of your personal data, or to receiving marketing communications, at any time by contacting our Data Protection Officer (see Section 11). Please note that withdrawing consent may affect our ability to process an order, deliver a product, or respond to a warranty or servicing request that depends on that data.

5. Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose personal data to the following categories of recipients, only as necessary to fulfil the purposes above:

  • Delivery and logistics partners, to deliver and install your furniture;
  • Servicing and warranty contractors, to carry out repairs or replacement;
  • IT, hosting and analytics service providers who support this website;
  • Payment terminal or instalment plan providers (e.g. Atome) used at the point of sale, where you choose that payment option in-showroom; and
  • Government authorities or professional advisers, where required or permitted by law.

Any third party engaged to process personal data on our behalf is required to protect that data to a standard consistent with the PDPA.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

This website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, understand how visitors use the site, and measure the effectiveness of our marketing. When you first visit, you will see a cookie banner where you can accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can also control cookies through your browser settings at any time. Declining cookies will not affect your ability to browse the website or contact us, but some features may not work as intended.

7. Data Protection and Retention

We implement reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal data in our possession or control against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, including to satisfy warranty periods (which may run up to 15 years for certain mattress models), resolve disputes, and meet our legal, accounting or regulatory obligations. When personal data is no longer needed, we will cease to retain it or anonymise it.

8. Access and Correction of Your Personal Data

Subject to the exceptions permitted under the PDPA, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you;
  • Request correction of any inaccurate or outdated personal data; and
  • Withdraw your consent to our use of your personal data, as described in Section 4.

To make a request, please contact our Data Protection Officer (Section 11). We may require you to verify your identity before processing your request, and we will respond within a reasonable time. A reasonable fee may apply for access requests as permitted under the PDPA.

9. Overseas Transfer of Personal Data

Where we engage service providers located outside Singapore (for example, cloud hosting or analytics providers), we take reasonable steps to ensure that any personal data transferred overseas is accorded a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA, including through contractual obligations imposed on the recipient.

10. Children’s Data

Our showrooms and website are intended for adults making furniture purchasing decisions. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so that we can remove it.

11. Our Data Protection Officer

In accordance with the PDPA, Nova Furnishing has appointed a Data Protection Officer (“DPO”) responsible for ensuring our compliance with the Act. You may contact our DPO with any question, concern, complaint or request relating to this Policy or your personal data:
